/sys/devices/platform/omap_i2c.1/i2c-1/1-004a/twl4030_bci/l in is not available in the 3.11 kernel. Linear charging is useful for strange chargers and as a workaround for other charging issues. This may just be a matter of merging the commit that added linear charging to 3.7.

Yes, it is missing in the code base. In the neil-plus kernel the patch was applied: http://git.goldelico.com/?p=gta04-kernel.git;a=history;f=drivers/powe r/twl4030_charger.c;h=fbd98771cc45d241a4c8b00bcbcb8e2533715cea;hb=ref s/heads/3.7-neil-plus During rebase to 3.10/11 it was apparently lost/removed during conflict resolution: http://git.goldelico.com/?p=gta04-kernel.git;a=commit;h=6c910fc6c6683 9a0d88d83174ac06a0e0844e269 So it should be as simple as to reapply (any maybe fix) the commit http://git.goldelico.com/?p=gta04-kernel.git;a=commit;h=9c8b58b5afd83 9b4794016c8c286e1b81bd6f00b
