instead of using the FFC built into the N900 PCB.
Idea:
use a 4 or 4.5mm mated height B2B connector like the DF12 series
from Hirose:

One end is soldered to the backside of the LOWER board and the other
end to one side of the breakout board.
On the other side of the breakout we have all other components.
The only major difference is that there is some cushion under the
N900 PCB
since it is sitting on top of some shield cans and may be squeezed
by the backplate.
And we must check how much a closed DF12 is jiggling.
