Issue 657: GPS antenna C-springs position

Reported by Joerg Reisenweber, Sep 8, 2014

from proto_V0 I see GSM antenna C-springs are ~1mm closer to PCB
edge than on M900 PCB.

This not necessarily introduces problems, but should nevertheless
get checked and adjusted

Duplicate with #518?

Please check if this is not yet fixed in the latest available
version2-wip (http://projects.goldelico.com/p/neo900/downloads/60/)
since you mention "proto_V0". There have been fixes in
between.

sorry, typo. GPS C-springs that is. Next to USB, labeled X6201 X6202
in N900 docs. Checked in GTA04b7V1.brd and the pads still end at
edge of PCB while they should have a ~0.5mm distance, and thus the
C-springs should be mounted a fraction of a millimeter further
towards PCB center

Summary: GPS antenna C-springs position

It is still unclear if this is a real issue.
The pads as defined in EAGLE are indeed bigger and the Gerber's show
them going to the edges. But thePCB manufacturer does not make them
go exactly to the edge.
The reason is that they are defined a little bigger than needed so
that soldering is improved. But then, the inner edge (closer to the
camera hole) should be at the right location.
IMHO, this can only be verified if the next protoype gets them
placed wrongly or not.
