About Portable Operation
The BeagleBoard can be operated through the OTG-USB connector either from a PC or an external power supply.
But for portable operation we suggest to take a AA battery box for 4 batteries (e.g. DigiKey BH14AAW-ND), plug in NiMH batteries (they have typically 1.2 V, i.e we come to 5 V range). Connect a plug to the battery box and operate the Beagle Board from this battery.
IMPORTANT: NEVER use standard 1.5 V alkaline batteries! THIS WOULD DESTROY THE Beagle Board.
