There is a new OMAP serial driver that appeared in 2.6.37 or so and 
provides UART speeds up into the MBit/s range. This is good for 
interfacing to the Bleutooth chip which allows up to 3 MBit/s.

Here is a description how someone was successful to port it to some 
Android 2.6.32 kernel (the same series as we have for the HW 
validation)
