there is one going upstream soon: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio.git/commit/?h= testing&id=14beaa8f5ab11b881c5e822e2474f5278d0946d5 We just need to fix DT. A new feature branch work/hns/sensors/bme280 has been created.

There is a new iio driver for all BMP/BME variants in the works and might appear in 4.8: http://www.spinics.net/lists/devicetree/msg132928.html V2 of that driver has been integrated in our tree: http://git.goldelico.com/?p=gta04-kernel.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/ work/test/bmp280 It has only one minor issue before we can close this issue: the driver can't be compiled as a Module. This has been reported to the author. So let's await it to arrive through linus/master and then fix our defconfig.

Has finally appeared in 4.8-rc1 (plus a patch). So I think we do not have to do anything more.
